Established in Scotland at the turn of the 20th century, Potter Cowan began as an engineering distribution business and has evolved into an established distributor and contracts specialist in the kitchen and interiors industry.

In 2027, Potter Cowan will celebrate 80 years in business, marking an important milestone in the company's long-standing history. From 1947, the Allen family played a significant role in the
development of the business, helping to establish the strong reputation for service, expertise and trusted customer relationships that Potter Cowan continues to build on today.

Potter Cowan operates across two key areas of the market.

Our Distribution division works with trade customers throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland, supplying a comprehensive range of kitchen products to kitchen retailers, showrooms and other specialist trade partners. With branches in Belfast, Dublin and Cork, we provide local expertise, dependable service and access to a carefully selected portfolio of leading brands, including Caple, Sycamore, Minerva, Finesse, Omega Select and Carysil.

Alongside our distribution business, our Contracts division has more than 50 years of experience delivering kitchen, bedroom and bespoke interiors solutions to contractors and developers across Ireland and throughout the UK. From supply and installation to bespoke joinery and complete fit-out packages, the division combines product knowledge, technical expertise and project experience to deliver solutions tailored to the requirements of each project.

In December 2022, Potter Cowan was acquired by the Errigal Group, marking a new chapter in the company's history. Potter Cowan continues to operate with its own established identity, expertise and customer relationships, while benefiting from its position within the wider Errigal Group.

As Potter Cowan enters its 80th year, the business continues to build on its heritage while looking towards the future, delivering quality products, specialist expertise and dependable service to trade customers, contractors and developers across Ireland and the UK.
